General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
Well, first the right cause must be founds It may be just a overuse of foot and ligaments and tendons during the sport but also plantar fascitis or calcaneal osteitis may be present. You should do MRI scan of heel and this will reveal possible issues. In every case, you should avoid activities such as jumping or running until pain exists. ALso, ibuprofen may be beneficial as well as warm compresses and leg elevation.
I hope I have answered your query.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
